Acting Director Goldman wins Antonetti Award!
Abigail Goldman has played a key role in Baltimore City elections for over 40 years. Last week, the Maryland Association of Election Officials honored her work with its most prestigious award.
Last week in Ocean City, the Maryland Association of Election Officials (MAEO) recognized Baltimore City Board of Elections Acting Director Abigail Goldman with the Robert J. Antonetti Sr. Outstanding Achievement award. This is the highest honor given by (MAEO).
More than 40 years ago, Ms. Goldman came to the Baltimore City Board of Elections for what she thought would be a one month temporary position. Since then, she has been an integral part of more than 50 elections in Baltimore City working on voter registration, election judge recruitment and training, and in the leadership of the agency as Deputy Director and Acting Director. In recognition of her many contributions to Baltimore City and to election administration all across the state, she was honored by her peers the 2025 meeting of the Maryland Association of Election Officials.
It was a great honor to present the Antonetti Award to Abigail at this year's conference. She has always worked very hard for the members of MAEO and the voters of Baltimore City. I look forward to continuing to work with Abigail through MAEO and our Maryland election family.
-Erine Perrone, President of MAEO and Election Director in Carroll County
